What is Pilates, and what will it do for me?
Pilates is a mind-body fitness method that uses mat work and specially designed equipment to strengthen muscles, increase flexibility, and improve overall health. Pilates strengthens the core, improves balance and coordination, and corrects imbalances which will help you do everything you love even better!
What is GYROTONIC® exercise, and what will it do for me?
The GYROTONIC® method is another unique and holistic form of exercise that has roots in yoga, gymnastics, swimming, and Tai Chi. It has mat work and it’s own specially designed equipment that uses circular movements to build strength, improve range of motion, and improve flow of energy throughout the body.
What Covid protocols are in place, and will I have to wear a mask?
We are following the latest government protocols and CDC guidance. Per the latest mandate from the City of Raleigh issued on August 13th, masks are required for all indoor activities. Please plan to sanitize your hands after entering and before heading over to the equipment. The studio will be cleaned regularly and all equipment will be sanitized after each use. Social distancing is encouraged while in the studio.
When should I expect to see results?
You will feel more connected and open immediately after your first session! You are in charge here and commitment and consistency is key. For the best results, we recommend a practice of at least twice a week, but our classes/sessions are also a great compliment to everything else you do!
What should I wear?
Come ready to move your body! Sweats, leggings, or even biker shorts work well. You will need to be barefoot or wearing socks that have grippers on the bottom. You will be moving through all positions, have your feet in straps in the air, and maybe even go upside down!
